Privacy Policy

How Bass Wars looks after the information you give us on basswars.org.

What We Keep

When you make an account we keep your name, nickname, email address and country. If you compete we also keep your member number, team, vehicles, the classes you enter and your scores. Judges can add a headshot, a family photo and an About me.

We use your email to sign you in, send password links, confirm payments and tell you about events you’ve entered. We don’t sell it or give it to anyone else to market to you.

What Everyone Can See

Bass Wars is a competition, so results are public: your public name (team and first name, or nickname and first name), member number, vehicles, scores, places, points, rankings and world records. Judge profiles and event pages are public too. Your email address is never shown publicly; only you, judges and Bass Wars staff can see it.

Event flyers and results may be posted on the Bass Wars Facebook Page.

Payments

Online payments for memberships, entries and gate fees are handled by Square. Your card details go straight to Square and never reach our site. We only keep what you paid for, the amount and whether it went through.

Services We Use

The site runs on Vercel and keeps its data with Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. Maps and distances come from Google Maps. Each of these only gets what it needs to do its job.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember a few choices you make on the site. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Changing or Deleting Your Information

You can change most of your details in My Account. To have your account or information removed, email bill@basswars.org and we’ll take care of it. Past results may stay on the record without your personal details, because they’re part of other competitors’ standings.
